Another GIMP animation tutorial I threw together. No GAP is required. Enjoy!

Prepared in html format so you can download and view in your browser window. Just save to your desktop, export the html file and the file folder to your desktop, and double-click the html file.

I've always your tuts. A lot of them are very handy, like the animated rain one. They're also VERY easy to follow and most of the ones involving animation don't require GAP.

I'd like to see you make a tut about putting video into sigs. The only one I found was practically written in gibberish and reven though I mostly understood it, what I was told to do didn't work AT ALL.

Thanks for the compliments! I really appreciate it!

When you say putting video into a sig, are you really referring to adding an animated gif into a sig? Or are you wanting one that shows how to take a dvd, for example, and extracting some frames and then bringing it into gimp? The reason I ask is that they can be done, but in different ways. I know how to do both, but I generally use GAP because it handles multiple frames very quickly.

Let me know and I'll see what I can come up with. BTW, do you use Windows or Linux? If it's Linux, I'll have to get someone else to do it (which I may do anyways so that Linux folks have the capabilities as well).

Cheers!

I use Windows.

And yeah, I meant putting stuff like .avis and .mpegs into a sig, since I caught some footage of a room littered with corpses in Counter-Strike Condition Zero, and thought it would be pretty cool in a sig.

Plus, ravenflock at GIMPTalk put a Hitman Contracts trailer into an avatar.

Where can I get a copy of this footage? I'd like to experiment with it and see if I can get it to work. If so, I'll try to write a tutorial for it, but it will take me awhile as I've got some other things I'm working on at the moment.
