Passion Flower Stereoimage

This is a stereoimage I created from one photograph. I used GIMP to modify the image on the left so that when correctly viewed, the image will appear to have some depth. It's not perfect, but it works! Obviously, two separate photographs from two different angles would be the easiest route to go, but this technique is a very relaxing challenge.

The flower is a passion flower that's growing in my yard.

To view, look cross your eyes and stare at the images until a third image appears in the middle of the originals. With your eyes still crossed, focus on the middle image and you should be able to see various levels of depth....giving it a 3D feel. If your eyes start to hurt or you get a headache, STOP and take a break....no need to hurt yourself.
