Inspiration
Well, after leaving gimptalk, I was inspired to transfer of all the tutorials to DA (a task which is nearly complete!) I've got 1 more to go and haven't decided if it's really needed here or not. I probably won't post it, but you never know. It was a bit of a chore to get everything moved, but really didn't take as long to accomplish as I thought. And I'm very pleased with the way things turned out as a result of converting them to html and pdf format. I've gotten some positive feedback from that, which is always good.
Perspiration
As a result of the inspiration, I quickly began the perspiration phase by completing 3 or 4 new tutorials and started on several more. I'm working on some tutorials on animation, texture stuff, more brushes being converted, and on and on and on! If there were only more time in the day and I didn't have to work at a real job! Ahh, such is life. Work always gets in the way of pleasure.
Deflation
But, as quickly as things come, they sometimes go, and this is true of my feelings at the moment. What a roller coaster ride I'm on.....
This evening I decided to close down the GIMP tutorial and brush shop for awhile and take a much needed vacation. The feedback here at DA has been nothing but fabulous, but I've noticed some trends elsewhere that I'm not too keen on. I won't be going into the details here as it may sound like whining to those of you who aren't familiar with the situations, but let's just say I'm annoyed.
When will I be back? Don't really know. As I said above, as quickly as things come, they sometimes go....maybe tomorrow I'll reconsider and all will be fine. But, I don't think so. I need to some play time and there's no better time than the present.
Here's wishing everyone good times ahead and I'll see you again sometime, hopefully soon. I'll still be posting occasional artwork here and checking in on things, so I'm not entirely out, but.....
Cheers everyone and God bless!

I've Been Caught by the Bug!
Uh, oh!!! I've gotten the bug again! The GIMP bug, that is! For some strange reason, I felt the need to start up graphics again and I'm in the process of updating old tutorials/scripts and writing new ones. Don't know if this is a good thing or not, but it is, what it is! LOL
Cheers!

Hard to believe...
It's hard to believe that it's been 2.5 years since I've posted anything new or responded to comments. I got out of graphics for awhile due to other interests (mainly my guitar!), but just recently started dabbling in the visual arts again. I'll probably never devote as much time to artwork as I once did, but I hope to post something in the future. But, I sure have a LOT of dust & rust to remove before much of anything gets posted. If you don't use your skills, you will lose them! :)
To those of you who have commented, sent me private messages, and asked for assistance, please forgive me for not responding. It's certainly never been my p
It's been over a year....
Since my last journal update. And, once again, I can't respond to the 1900 comments I've received. Thanks to everyone for your kind words on my artwork. Things are going very well and with my new computer I plan on doing a lot more. Best wishes to everyone and happy GIMPing!

Global Thanks and Apology
I would like to take this opportunity to everyone who has commented or faved my work over the last couple of months. Your kind words are greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, my message box is well over a thousand and there's no way I can reply to everyone. So, that being said, I'm globally thanking everyone today and asking you to forgive me for not responding individually. For those of you who know me, you know this is a great departure for me, as I ALWAYS respond. But, I just can't do it. It started out as a lack of interest in graphics, my monitor conked out, then my grandmother passed away, then back-to-back surgeries for my wife....
